And to be safe, can you confirm where the red edge goes on the board socket, i.e nearest to the BIOS chip, or farthest from it. To confirm (because if I get it wrong the board will switch off), can you please tell me whether the red edge is next to the power connector, as on a hard drive, or at the far side. It looks as if the twist was at the floppy end. There is no key on either end of the cable, so it will go in either way up, I imagine. However, I have the old cable that worked with this floppy on an Elpina (PC Chips) board, so I will try this in the way it was mounted. It is almost impossible to put the connector in wrongly, as there isn't enough room, and because the key on the connector seems to want to go into the corresponding slot in the socket at each end. On my K7T266 Pro2 the twist is at the board end, which is where I currently have it on the KM2M. I have tried the floppy cable with the twist at the board end and at the floppy end.
